From 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22, Green Team Urbana will pick up litter in hot spots suggested by VOU community management and Urbana residents. (Download map.) We'll have gloves, trash grabbers and trash bags available behind the library and Harris St pool; you can leave filled trash bags at hot spot cones. If you have a few minutes or longer to spare, please join us!

2. Sidewalk behind Giant and down asphalt path along Sugarloaf Parkway, including the forest area in the median

3. Sugarloaf Parkway between Bush Creek and Kendall path

4. Behind Hope Commons Circle at the forest edge and down to the ponds that are visible from Sugarloaf Parkway

5. Worthington Blvd between Tabard and Sugarloaf Parkway down the hill

If you can't join us on Earth Day, feel free to use our hot spot list as inspiration for your own trash pick up; if you'd like to recruit your neighbors or another group, the VOU office will have trash pick up supplies available for VOU residents. You can call 301.831.4810 or email services@villagesofurbana.net.

Please use your best judgment and caution, especially near roads!

Whenever you participate, we would love to see your work! Email photos to GreenTeamUrbana@gmail.com or post on our Facebook page Green Team Urbana.

If Earth Day doesn't work, consider participating another time during Frederick's first county-wide Teamup/Cleanup event from Saturday April 17 through Friday April 23 with a kickoff day on Saturday April 17 at Trinity United Methodist Church at 1.

We would love to see your pictures. Email GreenTeamUrbana@gmail.com or post on our Facebook page Green Team Urbana.
