What is Green Team Urbana?
Our focus area and mission
Urbana, Maryland, is a diverse, densely populated, growing community of almost 3,000 households, 12,000 residents and 4,200 acres of land. One small piece of a national project to restore our ecosystem, Green Team Urbana collaborates with community leaders and empowers residents to conserve the environmental well-being of our own community and to secure a habitable future for all.
Ways We Help
Education and events
We provide and promote educational and volunteer opportunities and events open to all Urbana area residents.
Policy and advocacy
We work with developers, businesses, HOAs and local government to balance development and traditional landscaping ideals with environmental stewardship.
